R&B singer Robert Kelly better known as R.Kelly is called the King of R&B and it’s without a doubt that he truly deserves that title. R.Kelly is arguably one of the most talented musician of our time. When you mention great musicians of our century, his name would definitely be there. R.Kelly is not just a musician but he is also an award winning songwriter who has written several hit songs for a lot of musicians like the legendary Michael Jackson.

R.Kelly single-handedly reshaped and reformed the modern R&B that we listen to today. His ingeniuty is out of this world and his sweet melodious voice is one that captivated even the hearts of men not just women. Off course he was the ladies man as he mostly sang about Love, Sex, Party, Life and God. He is still the only artiste till date who is successfull in both the secular and gospel music. His talents and creativity knows no bounds which saw him carting away several awards during his early career.

 He has worked with top legendary musicians like Jay-Z, Michael Jackson, Diddy and the Notorious B.I.G. Billboard dubbed R.Kelly “The Most Successful Artist in R&B History” and also “The Most Successful R&B/Hip-Hop Artist of the Past 25 Years (1985-2010).” In addition, the Recording Industry Association of America placed R.Kelly on the top 50 best-selling list: He’s released 12 solo albums and sold more than 100 million records. With all these achievement in his career he has failed to dublicate it with the Grammys which is actually the biggest music award in America and the world. He won only 3 Grammy Awards with 25 nominations with his inspirational song “I Belief I Can Fly” in 1998

Why will someone who is as talented as he is have won only just three Grammy Awards. This thoughts has led me to dig deeper into what would have happened with him and his career, because since 1998 he has never won a Grammy till date. Too me that’s very unfair to the King of R&B when other artistes who are not even up to his status or achievements have won more than 5 Grammy Awards in different year span. I did my research and I found out reasons that would have caused his Grammy Awards drought.

• He was accused of child molestation of having a sexual act with a 13 year old girl in a video
• He allegedly got married to the late Aaliyah when she was just 15 years old
• He promoted sex in his videos, songs and lyrics and was even tagged the Sex King
• He had so many sexcapade with several women during his A-days
• He was charged to court by a lot of underage girls of having sexual relationship with them
• He was a Black American and he wasn’t spared the benefit of doubt but was crusified without a proof

All these accusation leveled against him, he has continuously denied any involvement or having any sexual relationship with those underaged girls. The court has not yet convicted him but everyday different evidence are been brought against him. The case is still in court and it’s wrong for the Grammy to punish him of what he rightfully deserves because of his allegations. I strongly belief R.Kelly deserves more than 3 Grammys and for more than just one song because he is a living legend who has impacted immensely to the growth of R&B.

The APC also invited other PDP sentors to join the APC.

“God Told Me Dangote Will Become The President Of Nigeria” – Archbishop Amu Says

A former Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Archbishop George Amu, has said God has shown him that Nigerian billionaire businessman, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, will one day become the president of Nigeria.
Amu said just like the emergence of Donald Trump as the President of America shocked the world, so will Dangote’s emergence as Nigeria’s President shock everyone.
The cleric, who recalled telling journalists on August 21, on the occasion of his 75th birthday, that Trump would win America’s election, said God had also revealed to him that Dangote would be Nigeria’s President, but he was not sure whether he would succeed President Muhammadu Buhari or not.
According to him, the similarity between Trump and Dangote is that both are successful businessmen, rather than politicians, and God plans to use them to salvage their countries from problems.
Amu recalled that when he predicted Trump’s victory, no newspaper reported it, saying, “I even told my children to circulate the information on their Facebook but they declined. The same God, who revealed Donald Trump’s victory in the US, has also declared His intention to install Dangote as the future President of Nigeria.”

11 Ex-Jonathan’s Ministers May Join APC (See List)

There were strong indications yesterday that 11 former ministers during the administration of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan may soon join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
It was also learnt that there is pressure on ex-Governor Jolly Nyame, Senator Andy Uba and some Senators in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to shift base to the APC.
An opposition governor is yet to make up his mind on whether to defect to the ruling party.
The planned defection of the 11 ex-ministers is all part of the ongoing realignment of forces.
Some of the former ministers are said to be looking for soft landing because of ongoing investigations by the anti-graft agencies.
A few others opted for defection because they are unsure of the future of the PDP.
The defection of a former Minister of Transport, Umar Idris, from PDP to APC last weekend was regarded as a “pilot test” for the ex-ministers, who are mostly from the North.
It was however gathered that Idris, whose defection shocked many PDP leaders, allegedly put Jonathan into confidence that “it is only politically expedient for him to leave PDP in Gombe State”.
It was unclear yesterday whether he planned to run for governor in 2019.
A top source, who spoke in confidence, said: “Some of them have opened talks discreetly with some key figures in the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. They are bidding time on when to cross over. But ex-Minister Umar Idris braved the odds to defect last weekend.
“I think they do not want to lose out in the scheme of things. It is becoming obvious that the crisis in PDP might lead to the emergence of another party.
Another source said: “Contrary to what you have been fed with, it is the APC that is reaching out to like minds in the former cabinet of ex-President Jonathan.
“Some of us have been under intense pressure to defect because of the crisis in PDP.
Some of the ex-ministers under investigation are Nurudeen Mohammed; Sen. Musiliu Obanikoro; Bashir Yuguda; former Minister of Power, Mohammed Wakil; Bala Mohammed; Diezani Alison-Madueke; Oloye Jumoke Akinjide; Amb. Aminu Wali; Prof. Viola Onwuliri; ex-Minister Nenadi Usman; ex-Minister Senator Joel Ikenya and Femi Fani-Kayode.
One of the anti-graft agencies has also grilled former Minister of Education, Ibrahim Shekarau; former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Aminu Wali; former Minister of Mines and Steel Musa Muhammad Sada; and a former Minister of State for Agriculture, Asabe Asmau Ahmed.
It is not clear yet if any of those under investigation is among those planning to defect.
A source close to Shekarau confirmed that some APC leaders had made overtures to him.
The source said: “Several of such moves and overtures have been made in the past but he has not uttered a word on that. He has not considered any. He is still in PDP.
“Don’t forget that Shekarau was one of the initiators of the merger which produced APC. And most of his political associates and friends are in APC. As a matter of fact, the present National Chairman of APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, was Shekarau’s vice-presidential candidate in 2011.
“I am aware that there is pressure on him to rejoin his political friends and associates in APC. But he has not considered the offer at all.
Reacting, the Secretary of the Forum of ex-Ministers, Prof. Abubakar Suleiman, said: “I am not aware of anything like that.
“But in view of the crises in APC and PDP, some people believe that there will be realignment. There are undercurrent signals or pressure from some sources.
Ex-Governor Jolly Nyame of Taraba State and Uba are also said to be under pressure to defect to APC.

The hardship in the land is getting more intense as about 3,000 steel workers have lost their jobs in the last quarter of 2015.
The National Union of Iron and Steel Workers on Wednesday said 3,000 of its members lost their jobs in the last quarter of 2015 following closure of steel companies.
Mr Kasimu Kadiri, General Secretary of the union told the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos that the current economic recession had increased the number of unemployed people.
Kadiri was reacting to plans to shut the biggest pipe factory, SCC Nigeria Limited, due to the economic recession. The pipe factory inaugurated a 280,000- ton ultra modern steel pipe manufacturing in Oct, 2015 in Ushafa, Abuja. However, after several months of staying idle, the government announced plan to close it due to low patronage.
The union leader said continuous closure of steel companies had negatively affected the steel sector, especially its workers. He appealed to the government to stop importation of finished steel products to allow local production thrive.
“Government should also create an enabling environment for local producers to grow to reduce the number of unemployed people.
“We are equally appealing to the government to revisit the Ajaokuta agreement and restructure it to absorb people in the labour market,” he said.
Kadiri explained that the 7th Senate cancelled the agreement with Global Infrastructure on Ajaokuta Steel which later opted for litigation. He said the federal government should take advantage of the recent directive of the court that parties used alternative means to settle the matter.

‘Policemen Demanding Money From Me Since I Won Ondo Poll’- Akeredolu Says

Ondo Governor-elect in the November 26 governorship election, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has urged the high command of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) to pay the allowances of security personnel deployed for the election in the state.
Akeredolu said this on Wednesday in Akure while delivering his acceptance speech at the office of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) after he was given a letter of return with his deputy-elect, Agboola Ajayi.
Akeredolu lamented that security operatives had been coming to his house since the Saturday election to demand for money from him, stressing that they were stranded and have become a burden to him.
He disclosed that the security operatives complained to him that their allowances were not paid since they were deployed for the election last week.

“They have been coming to my house to beg for money telling me that they were not paid their allowances.
“How can you deploy your officers for such assignment without paying them their money? I am saying this so that the DIG can take care of the issue,” he said, urging the security bosses and Force Headquarters to cater for their personnel.

But the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Femi Joseph, denied the allegations on the non-payment of election allowance for the police officers deployed for the election.

We Are Addressing Recession With The Wrong Tool’- CBN Finally Admits (Must Read)

The on-going economic recession has persisted owing to application of wrong prescription by non-professionals, the Director of Policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Mr. Moses Tule, has contended.
The CBN chief spoke at the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, CIBN, roundtable meeting organised on the current economic recession in Abuja on Tuesday.
His words:

“Some came in as doctors into the macro-economic management and are giving the tools of medical doctors to advise on how to solve the problem of recession. Some came in as carpenters and they are using carpentry tools to advise on the problems of economic recession; some came in as engineers and they are using their tools to advise on how to address economic recession.
“They have not allowed the professionals to do their jobs. They have not allowed the professional to provide the direction.”

According to the director, the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) had, since early last year, consistently warned that the nation will slip into recession if urgent steps are not taken but that the warnings were not heeded.
How we got into recession
Explaining how the nation got into recession, Tule said: “Oil prices are down. Not only are oil prices down, the Niger Delta Avengers have blown up oil producing facilities and export facilities, severally.

“When they blew the Forcados , it took government six months to fix Forcados. That was a loading bay. And after fixing it, they went back and blew it again. So we have oil prices and production going down. The implication is that foreign exchange earnings are going down, but unfortunately, our import expenditure is not going down. It is still in the region of N976 billion, monthly.”

He lamented Nigerians’ penchant for imported goods and an absence of export culture. He said sitting down and blaming the CBN for the falling value of the naira was futile, insisting:

“If we want to regain our place, how did we get here? We must address that question.
“The moment we began to prefer imported goods to our domestically produced goods, we laid the foundation and built the superstructure to where we are now. This is a conscious choice. Every country makes the choice where it wants to be. This is what we chose for ourselves as a country.”
